Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Series Explained website (seriesexplainedofficial.com) and Series Explained Studio, the private tool the channel owner uses to manage the Series Explained YouTube channel ("the app").
Who uses the app
The app is used only by the owner of the Series Explained YouTube channel. It is not offered to the public and is not used to access anyone else's Google account.
Google and YouTube data the app accesses
When the owner signs in with Google, the app requests these permissions for the Series Explained channel:
- Upload videos (
youtube.upload) — to upload new episodes as private drafts. - Manage the channel's videos (
youtube) — to schedule approved drafts for publication and delete drafts the owner rejects. - View the channel (
youtube.readonly) — to confirm upload status and list the channel's own videos. - View YouTube Analytics (
yt-analytics.readonly,yt-analytics-monetary.readonly) — to read the channel's own views, watch time and revenue reports for planning.
How the data is used
Data is used solely to operate the Series Explained channel: uploading, scheduling or deleting the channel's own videos, and producing internal performance reports for the owner. The app does not use Google or YouTube data for advertising, does not sell it, and does not share it with anyone.
Storage and security
The Google sign-in credential and any analytics data are stored only on the channel owner's own computer. They are not uploaded to any server operated by Series Explained. Access can be revoked at any time.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Series Explained Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
YouTube API Services
The app uses YouTube API Services. By using the app you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Revoking access and deleting data
Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account → Security → Third-party access or via the Google security settings page. Locally stored credentials and reports are deleted when access is revoked or on request to the contact below.
Website visitors
This website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or forms, and collects no personal information from visitors. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security purposes.
Children
The app and website are not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change when we do.
